Goal. First team to the target score (default 10) wins. You sit at the bottom of the table; Partner sits across from you. Together you play against West and East.
Trump & the bowers
Each hand one suit is trump (beats all others). The two strongest cards are the bowers:
the Right Bower = Jack of trump (highest card), and the Left Bower = the other Jack of the same color,
which counts as a trump. Below them: A > K > Q > 10 > 9. Follow the led suit if you can — remember the left bower's suit is trump.
Bidding
Round 1: Order Up makes the turned-up card's suit trump (the dealer picks it up). Round 2 (if all pass): call any other suit. If everyone passes twice, it's a redeal.
⭐ The Banked Tricks twist
Whoever wins the last trick holds the Bank — the tricks they personally won that hand. Win the last trick again and it stacks; a different player winning it resets it to their count, for their team.
The bank only counts if YOUR team calls trump. Pass, and it sits idle that hand (it still carries). With a bank of 3+, calling is an automatic point — you can't be euchred.
Your total = bank + tricks won. Land on exactly 5 = 2 pts. Under 3 = euchred (defenders +2). Anything else — including going OVER 5 — is just 1 pt. Precision wins.
Going alone (precision bet)
Play without your partner and land on exactly 5 total for 4 points. Overshoot and it's 1. With no bank, that's the classic "take all 5."
